Swan Moon Scratchboard Drawing

My art for this post is an original scratchboard artwork titled 'Swan Moon'. The scratchboard size is 19 in x 12 in. A beautiful swan lifts its graceful wings to test the night air. This is one of a series of drawings I do that uses the moon to back-light the image. The black of the scratchboard lends itself well to night drawings, using the moon as the source of illumination. Click on the image to be taken to its' web page for more information and detail images. You can also contact me with any comments or questions you might have.

Swan Moon, Original Scratchboard Artwork

Because I worked as an advertising and staff artist in the past, I am used to having my images adapted for commercial uses. I was contacted by the singer, Lynn Maudlin, to use my drawing, 'Swan Moon' as the basis of her company, 'Moonbird Music', logo. I allowed her to modify my image and am pleased with the results (that you can see below). I hope you will take time to visit her website and listen to her music. Lynn has a lovely voice.
